George Jadoun

Jadoun
George Jadoun holds a degree in engineering from the American University in Beirut. He started his career in 1975 with a multinational contractor and was involved in a variety of large infrastructure projects, including power stations, desalination plants, highways, residential areas and industrial complexes. In 1987, he joined the ILO as project manager and procurement manager for local development projects using labour-intensive construction methods to intensify job creation and skills transfer. 

He is an expert on the management of public procurement, its integration into public financial management, and project management. He also has substantial hands-on experience of organizational management, professional procurement certification schemes, financial management, public-private partnerships, contract management, insurance and logistics.  He has co-authored a number of procurement modules and manuals.

He is the Assistant Director of the Centre’s post-graduate courses and the Scientific Director of three joint University of Turin and ITC-ILO Master’s courses. George is also the Chief of the Sustainable Development and Governance Cluster, which designs and runs standard and tailor-made training courses on procurement and project management.
