Language

Italian is the national language, but some people understand and speak English or French. On campus, staff are proficient either in English, French, Portuguese or Spanish, and sometimes in other languages such as Arabic or Chinese.

Climate

The climate in Turin is generally temperate, but, as you can see from the temperature chart below, it can also be surprisingly cold due to its proximity to the Alps. After all, it is a Winter Olympic city! From October to May, warm and waterproof clothes are essential.
