The fourth module of the one-year training programme on “Employment Policies: Moving from Fragility to Resilience “, tailored for Afghanistan, started officially in New Delhi on Monday 22 May 2017.
The module, focused on entrepreneurship, will run till 26 May with the participation of 26 representatives of the Afghan Government and of Workers’ and Employers’ organizations.
The opening ceremony was held in the presence of Mr Sher Verick, Deputy Director, ILO India Country Office, and Mr Manish Kumar Gupta, General Director of the VV Giri National Labour Institute of India.
In addition to more “traditional” topics linked to entrepreneurship promotion in fragile contexts, this module introduces some cross-cutting issues that will be developed in the coming weeks. These include women’s entrepreneurship promotion (linked to the upcoming Gender and Labour module) and profiling techniques to identify beneficiaries for entrepreneurship programmes (linked to Afghan Labour Policy).
