A project to enable national training institutions
On 2 July 2012, the third activity out of the eight learning events designed for the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) of Saudi Arabia will start on Turin Centre campus.
Strategic planning and management are essential to define long-term objectives, and the structural and procedural changes necessary for their achievement. National Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions should be able to call on strategies and management tools that will help them to develop appropriate responses to anticipate changes in national and international demographic, socio-economic and labour market scenarios that could affect future demand for their services.
In the framework of a broader learning initiative, the forthcoming course on “Strategic Planning in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)” sets out to enable deans of technical colleges in Saudi Arabia to make well-grounded choices and plans concerning the delivery of education and training services by their respective institutions.
The course will share pertinent notions, tools and examples of good practice. It will include plenary sessions, group discussions and field visits to selected institutes and companies in Northern Italy.
