Collaboration that works
The closing event of the project entitled “Strengthening employers’ organizations’ capacities in the field of social security and occupational safety and health” is taking place in Turin and Madrid, from today to 22 November 2011.
The project, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Labour and Immigration, assisted employers’ organizations from 18 Latin American countries in reinforcing their knowledge, creating permanent committees and establishing new training services for company members in social security and occupational safety and health.
Fifty employers’ representatives are participating in the final activity in Turin and Madrid, devoted to exchanging experiences, identifying good practices in the role of employers in social security boards, and analysing recent developments in the discussion on the “social security floor” and the extension of social security.
The last two days of the activity will take place in Madrid, at the headquarters of the Spanish Confederation of Employers’ Organizations (Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales, CEOE), technical partner in the project. José Maria Lacasa, CEOE Secretary General, will participate in the closing session of the project.
