Moving towards a greener economy
A “Learning forum on green jobs: local strategies and action” will take place at the ITC-ILO from 4 to 21 April 2011, in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
The promotion of green jobs is central to the move towards a greener economy, but innovative strategies can only succeed with the full engagement of enterprises and workers. The potential of green jobs exists at all levels of economic development, in different sectors and types of enterprise, in both rural and urban areas.
This inter-agency learning forum is designed to support key players in shaping green jobs strategies at the local, regional and national levels. Participants will get to know a range of local best practices and tools, and will engage with top-level resource persons.
The forum has a strong focus on tailoring lessons learned to the actual work of participants. Please download the flyer for more info and please visit www.itcilo.org/emld or www.itcilo.org/greenjobs for details on application, tuition and the agenda.
Admission to the programme is on a competitive basis, and depends on the applicants’ current level of responsibility and potential future contribution to their community and organization. Application deadline: 27 February 2011.
