A partnership that counts: IEFP Portugal has joined the ITC-ILO donors group
On 10 December, an important agreement was signed by François Eyraud, Director of the ITC-ILO, and Francisco Madelino, President of the Board of Directors of the Instituto do Emprego e Formação Profissional of Portugal (IEFP), in the presence of Portugal’s Minister of Labour and Social Solidarity, Maria Helena André.
Numerous bodies make grants that support the Centre’s work to develop the institutional capacity of ILO constituents. IEFP Portugal has now joined the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the French Ministry of Labour and Equal Opportunities, the Piedmont Region and the City of Turin in providing core institutional support to the Centre through a non-earmarked allocation to its budget.
In addition, through this agreement the IEFP will also contribute to a training and learning programme for Portuguese-speaking African countries and Timor-Leste on employment and vocational education and training policies.
