Lifelong learning? MOOC is the answer!
The Centre has partnered with the ECBCheck (1) community of international organizations on the Development of Quality in Digital Learning MOOC (2)
In partnership with UNITAR, UNU, FAO, World Bank Institute and GIZ, among others, the Centre will carry out and facilitate the Quality for Digital Learning MOOC (quality4digitallearning.org), from 15 February to 25 March 2016. Participation requires a minimum of 3 hours a week, for both course material reading and collaborative online work.
The MOOC will develop issues such as:
- How to measure quality in digital learning
- Can the same criteria for traditional e-learning be used to measure the quality of new learning methods, such as mobile learning, gamified solutions or MOOCs?
- What are the added values of an international community working on the issue of quality in digital learning?
While the mission and overall goal of the course is to promote and stimulate a vibrant community for quality in digital learning that will continue to function after the MOOC, the main objective of this MOOC is to provide participants with the opportunity to share their own resources and introduce individual expertise and experience.
The MOOC will run online free of charge, and will have as its main focus networking and generating new knowledge together, with the motto: Connecting, sharing and co-creating!
The MOOC will be held in English, and is open to education specialists, administrators, managers, lecturers or trainers and everyone working in the field of learning with digital media who cares about quality assurance.
