New EU-funded project on “Transnational Company Agreements”
The International Training Centre of the ILO has just been awarded a grant of €241,160 by the European Union (DG-Employment) to examine issues, approaches and practices associated with Transnational Company Agreements (TCAs), with the aim of developing and implementing responsible social policies in multinational companies.
The project, which builds on previous phases, aims to strengthen the ability of managers of multinational enterprises and their subsidiaries, and staff of employers’ organizations, to make better-informed decisions when engaging in and implementing TCAs.
The project targets a range of companies from different sectors and countries, employers’ organizations from all European Member States and Candidate Countries, and sectoral or regional employers’ federations.
Lasting 24 months, the project will be implemented in collaboration with the German, Italian, French, Danish and Spanish Employers’ Associations, and with the support of BusinessEurope and the International Organisation of Employers.
