The Centre opens again its campus to Turin students

The “Growing up in Town” (Crescere in città) project invites the secondary school students of Turin to visit our campus as part of the “Alla Scoperta del Campus ONU” (Discovering the UN Campus) initiative.
The initiative stems from an agreement between the City of Turin and the Centre. The programme was launched in 2007, based on educational input from school teachers. It has been tested for three classes of secondary school.
The Centre has hosted 1,350 students and is ready for a new series of meetings with students from high schools (aged 13), to help increase students’ interest in global issues and how the international organizations are called upon to operate.
During the visits, students will tour the single UN campus (the ITC-ILO, UNICRI, the UNSSC, the UNESCO Centre and the SIOI share the campus facilities) and learn about the United Nations System and the ITC-ILO
The City of Turin has recently launched a new website for the initiative: http://www.comune.torino.it/crescere-in-citta/
