The Board of the International Training Centre of the ILO will meet on Thursday 1 and Friday 2 November for its 74th Session
The Board approves the general lines of the Programme of the Centre and its annual budget. It meets once a year, in November. The report of its meeting is submitted to the Governing Body of the ILO.
The Board is composed of 24 members appointed by the Governing Body of the ILO: 12 government representatives from Germany, Argentina, Brazil, China, France, India, Islamic Republic of Iran, Kenya, Niger, Panama and Togo as well as six Employers' representatives and six Workers' representatives. The Italian Government, the Region of Piedmont, the City of Turin, and the Unione Industriale of Turin are also represented on the Board.
The Board meeting will be chaired by the representative of the Director-General of the ILO, Mr Greg Vines, the Deputy Director-General for Management and Reform.
Under the Statute of the Centre, the Board has an important governance and oversight role. The main items on the agenda include an Interim Implementation Report on the first year of the Centre’s Strategic Plan for 2012-15; reports from the Internal Auditor and External Auditor as well as the Programme and Budget Proposals for 2013.
