Turin Centre and German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) cooperating on conflict-affected situations
The first edition of a three-day learning event on “Practising Private Sector Development in Fragile and Conflict-Affected Situations” will be held from 4 to 6 September 2012, in Islamabad
The Donor Committee for Enterprise Development (DCED) is the forum for donors and UN agencies seeking to improve the effectiveness of their work in Private Sector Development (PSD). DCED members increasingly operate in conflict-affected environments and recognise that private sector development is a vital tool for promoting economic growth and peace.
This inter-agency training activity will benefit from inputs from practitioners working for the British Department for International Development (DFID), GIZ, INTERNATIONAL ALERT, the ILO, UNDP and World Bank.
GIZ and ILO will jointly deliver this first edition of the course, which will be offered to a maximum of 30 participants.
To be updated on PSD interventions in conflict-affected environments and participate in an international learning and sharing event (link to flyer), register online by 5 August at: http://intranetp.itcilo.org/SHF/A955599/en
