The Centre commended again
A press release was published by UNIDO (http://www.unido.org/news/press/sida-skills.html) on the participation of four training centre managers in the 2013 "Academy on Skills Development".
The participation of representatives from Ethiopia and Iraq was sponsored by Swedish cooperation and UNIDO, in their programme for strengthening the management skills of vocational training centre leaders.
“The training was highly essential, timely, and has totally changed my perception of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and its management across the world. It was a great privilege to take part and I extend my heartfelt thanks to Sida and UNIDO, without whom this opportunity would not have arisen,” said Tamirat Deneke, from Ethiopia, one of the four management trainees.
Another management trainee from Iraq, Asso Fatah, said: “This training has increased my motivation and self-confidence, and has broadened my mind about the field of vocational training.”
The next Academy on Skills Development is scheduled for 2015.
