The Centre has a new Director
On February 1st, 2016, Mr Yanguo Liu, a Chinese national, was appointed Director of the International Training Centre of the ILO, Turin.
Mr Liu holds a Master of Public Administration from Renmin University in China and, before coming to Turin, was Deputy Administrator at the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, China (SAFEA, a public department under the Ministry of Human Resources).
He was previously the Executive Director of the China Society of International Personnel Exchange Researches, and Deputy Secretary General and board member of the China Association of International Exchanges of Professionals.
He was a member of the Steering Committee of Metropolis, an international experts’ network for international migration, and a designated guest professor at the State Civil Service Administration of China, in the Master of Public Administration.
In his career, Mr Liu has been responsible for policy issues concerning foreign skilled workers and creating decent work opportunities and equal social protection for them. Accordingly, Mr Liu wishes to drive the work of the Centre to contribute further to the skills development of World of Work players.
