Gender Academy is back on campus!
With more than 170 participants expected on Monday 11 November, Gender Academy will again be a major event in the field of gender equality.
Co-funded by the UN Women Training Centre, the ILO and the European Commission, the Academy will be held in English, French and Spanish.
The second Gender Academy is carried out in partnership with the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
Participants from more than 70 countries will come to learn, share and discuss the gender issues that are most significant in their own professional context, such as gender and trade, decent work for both men and women in sustainable rural economies, gender dimensions of social protection floors, the Gender Equality Index, the EU and gender equality, sexual harassment at work and masculinity, CEDAW, result-based management for gender equality, gender-sensitive budgeting, gender and organisational change, gender mainstreaming in practice, maternity protection at work, with more than 30 experts and practitioners contributing to the training event.
The Academy will be officially opened by Dr Victoria Marina Velásquez de Avilés, Chairperson of the ILO GB, Mr Moez Doraid, Director, Coordination Division, UN Women, Ms Clemencia Muñoz Tamayo, Director, UN Women Training Centre, Ms Jane Hodges, Chief of the ILO Gender, Equality and Diversity, and Ms Patricia O'Donovan, Director of the Centre.
