A new distance learning course “Hacer frente al problema del empleo juvenil“(Tackling the issue of youth employment) is taking place on 1 August to 30 November 2012.
Young people are one of the most important assets of any country. Although the younger generations of today tend to be the most educated, they face growing difficulties in achieving their full potential, especially in professional life.
Against this background, and after a successful pilot last year, the Centre is offering a new session of this distance learning course for Latin America (to be held in Spanish).
Compared to previous courses, part of the content will deal specifically with youth in the informal economy and rural youth, as well as with entrepreneurship and skills development. Relevant course material sections will address Latin American challenges and issues.
The main objective of this course is to strengthen the capacities of participants to plan, develop and enhance the quality and impact of employment programmes and policies aimed at young people, particularly those in vulnerable situations.
