Want to change the world? Understand gender economics
Forty Master and PhD Students in Economics, Sociology, Politics, Demography, Management Engineering and related disciplines, from both European and non-European countries, will gather at the Centre for the “Summer School on Gender Economics and Society” on 7 to 11 July 2014.
There is now widespread recognition of the importance of gender strategies to promote growth and development and improve welfare systems. This is reflected in the increasing importance of both gender-based programmes aimed at boosting women's participation in economic life, politics and institutions, and the progress of theoretical analysis as well as indicators for monitoring and evaluating these programmes.
This Summer School will focus on gender dimensions of the economy and their different impacts on society. it will take an interdisciplinary approach.
