First course on “International and European Labour Law”
The course has been organized by the ITC-ILO, the ILO and the UAE (European Lawyers' Union). It is funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
European labour lawyers, company legal advisers and magistrates play a key role in meeting the new needs of the international world of work. They have to understand and manage complex processes, and therefore need solid, general legal training and a specific knowledge of international and European labour law.
The main objective of this first course on “International and European Labour Law" is to consolidate the new professional role of the European expert in labour law by improving knowledge and skills concerning international (ILO) and European (EU) labour standards.
A course-launching conference on "The new frontiers of international and European labour law", with an opening statement by Mr Franco Frattini, Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, will be held on 8 November 2010, in Rome.
