Enrol in the new UN Summer Academy!

news - 24/06/2012
The UN Summer Academy is created to provide executive education to those working for the UN and professionals who actively engage with the UN System in their daily lives. It will combine academic rigour with cutting edge thinking on contemporary development challenges.

Organized by  the International Training Centre of the ILO, UNSSC and UNITAR , its main goal is to provide a space for learning and debate around contemporary issues, promoting intellectual and practical knowledge sharing, and fostering a culture of understanding and cross-fertilization among the various development actors, including the UN, the diplomatic corps, donors (traditional and emerging), non-governmental organizations, academia and the private and philanthropic sectors.

The inaugural session of the UN Summer Academy will take place from 20 to 31 August 2012 at the UN Campus in Turin, Italy, and is titled “A New Global Development Partnership”. It is built around a one-week introductory curriculum, with three specific clinics focused on practical implications taking place in week two. The curriculum is based on the secretary-General’s Five Year Action Agenda and the Outcome of the 4th High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness.
