Skills anticipation in adult learning

The “European high-level meeting on skills anticipation in adult learning” will take place at the UN campus in Turin (Italy) from 12 to14 September 2012.
Specialists and professionals in the area of skills anticipation, adult learning and the upgrading and design of new learning programmes from the 27 European Union countries will meet for two and a half days.
Participants and experts will respond to the following questions through discussion, debate, interactive learning, experience sharing and knowledge creation:
What is the current practice for skills anticipation in EU Member States, especially in the context of continuous TVET and adult learning?
How can actors involved in adult learning best access information on current and future labour market needs for the adult workforce?
What processes and practices are there to feed labour market information and anticipated skills needs into the design and updating of adult learning programmes?
What approaches and solutions have proved to be successful?
