The Centre welcomes the Minister of Labour of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan
The Minister of Labour of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H. E. Faizullah Zaki, paid an official visit to the International Training Centre of the ILO in Turin on 2 October 2017, to mark the inauguration of the first edition of course A9010461 - Promotion of Youth Employment in Fragile Settings.
Mr Zaki participated in a round table on the topic: “Where do we stand now in the promotion of youth employment in situations of fragility and disaster? What does fragility mean in different contexts?”, together with Mr Khair M. Niru, Director General for Manpower and Labour Affairs; Mr Valter Nebuloni, Head of the Youth Employment Programme, ILO; and Mr Donato Kiniger-Passigli, Head of the Fragile States and Disaster Response Group, ILO.
During his visit, Minister Zaki and his colleagues, Mr Niru, Mr Nasrullah Arsalai (Director General of the Council of Ministers Secretariat) and Mr Taimoor Eshaq Zai (Chief Executive Office of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan), had opportunity to meet with the Deputy Director of the Centre, Mr Giuseppe Casale; the Director of the Training Department, Mr Andreas Klemmer; and the manager of the "Promoting Rural Youth Employment in Afghanistan through Entrepreneurship Education and Vocational Training" project, Mr Joel Alcocer, to discuss implementation of the second phase of the project and explore possibilities for further cooperation.
