Emanuela Latini started her career at the ITC-ILO in 1980 as a junior secretary in the Director’s Office. A couple of years later, she joined the Procurement Unit, where she was involved in contract management.

A typical example of “learning by doing”, she improved her skills, and in the 1990s she became responsible for the contract unit within the Internal Administration Service.

In 2000, Emanuela switched from practice to theory and joined the procurement cluster within the Management of Development Programme. She now runs training sessions on procurement, updating and developing training materials, and works on procurement reform projects.
