Workers' Activities

We work with trade unions to make their training and education activities for their own members more effective, and thereby contribute to the social and economic development of their countries. The political, economic and social transformations produced by globalization call for strong and cohesive action by workers' organisations worldwide.

The Centre's Programme for Workers' Activities (ACTRAV-Turin), in close association with the Bureau for Workers' Activities of the ILO (ACTRAV-Geneva), aims to meet the changing needs of workers' organizations by running training courses for trade union leaders (at an advanced level), producing workers' education/training material, implementing specific projects, and providing distance education and advisory services.
