E. L. K. Dissanayake (Sri Lanka, 2010/2011 edition)
An excellent course for both those who have or do not have previous exposure to Labour Economics. It provides both theoretical and practical knowledge, through a panel of veteran economists, statisticians & social researchers from reputed Universities, international organizations (ILO, World Bank) and research institutions. A better exposure to the different schools of thoughts as well as a great opportunity to get hand on experience how to analyse the application of macro & microeconomic theories on human capital.
A quite intensive face-to-face learning session (4 months) in Turin provides the subject knowledge, analytical skills; and also an opportunity to explore the Italian Culture and Traditions mostly visible through frequent festivals in Turin (oldest capital of Italy). Calm and quite environment (close to the River PO) in the Institute provides the best learning environment with reasonable facilities.
