Research assistanceThe Learning Resources and Information (LRI) meets requests for research assistance by telephone, email or in person. Upon request, we assist people with research tools, including Medoc, Labordoc and other databases.

Compilation of bibliographies and documentation filesAnyone can request a personalized subject search of the Medoc and Labordoc databases. ITCILO staff may also ask us to prepare documentation files, including bibliographies, articles, internet links and publications, on specific subjects.

Access to the collectionsAll collections (reference, books, periodicals, media materials, documentation files) are available for consultation by all.

LoansMost material may be borrowed by ITCILO officials and course participants. Reference books, periodicals and documentation files are available for consultation. An interlibrary loan service from the ILO Library and from other UN libraries is also available.

Internet accessSome computer workstations for research purposes are available throughout the LRI. These provide access to research tools and information resources available online. There is also the possibility for the users to get online using their laptops. These services are free for all ITCILO course participants and officials.

Photocopying and PrintingA self-service photocopier is available at the entrance. Internet and search results can be printed from the workstations. Please ask the staff for instructions on photocopying and printing. External users may make both copies and printouts for a fee.

Purchase of information productsThe LRI orders publications for ITCILO training activities. It also welcomes suggestions of information products to be purchased for its collections.
