Introduction to the course

The rural economy, like the rest of the world of work, is experiencing a transformation driven by globalization, technological innovation and demographic shifts. More than two-fifths of the world's workers are rural, and many rely on small-scale agricultural activities for a living. On this course, participants will learn how to increase the number and quality of decent, sustainable jobs in the rural economy.
