e-Learning strategies and tools support the way the world learns today. The COVID-19 crisis has shown that it is not enough to move training online, but it is necessary to do this professionally, effectively and inclusively.
In this course, participants learn about the latest developments in instructional design applied to e-Learning by sharing, connecting, and practicing with a global group of trainers and experts.

The course is delivered fully online through a mix of synchronous and asynchronous activities
This online course takes the form of a design lab in which participants are guided through the whole process of e-Learning design. Content is unlocked on a weekly basis and is packaged through design activities which are meant to provide participants with the necessary concepts, methods and tools to approach their own e-Learning challenge. Beside the modular highly interactive and participatory courseware, participants get access to an individualized coaching system to tackle the most pressing issues regarding their e-Learning project idea. The course is offered fully online through an asynchronous modality where participants can plan their own learning at their own pace. The course offers options for synchronous debate and discussions through targeted online webinars that are addressing cross-cutting themes and topics; thus providing an optional opportunity for learning, engaging with experts and online networking.
The course helps participants identify and select modern e-Learning methods and tools to address a specific e-Learning challenge in their professional context.

Phase 1: Welcome
Upon registration, participants receive the link to platform where they can update their profile and download useful information such as the timetable, fill in a survey and complete online check-in.
Phase 2: Knowledge and inspiration
Participants access four modules and dive into e-Learning concepts from analysis to evaluation strategies. Each module is built to equip participants with
Phase 3: Peer-coaching phase
Participants pitch their own e-Learning Project idea, thus reflecting on strengths and opportunities as well as the future vision of their e-Learning project. They will be able to improve it with the help of peers attending the course, under the supervision of the course team.
Phase 4: Towards prototyping
Participants will focus on their project idea and will transform it into a mini project plan with the help of a professional e-Learnign coach. The coaching process aims at redirecting participants to the right resources as well as selecting the right tools that will be useful for finalizing the e-Learning Project strategy.
The course is provided by the Learning Innovation Programme of the ITCILO.
The course includes 8 weeks of online learning. The average weekly workload estimate is 7 hours. However, the workload might correspond to a different amount depending on earlier knowledge of e-Learning concepts and specific e-Learning project needs.
By successfully completing the course, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement.
