Course Information
The accelerated pace of change in globalization, technology, demographics and climate change has led to rapid transformations in the world of work and has been accompanied by high levels of uncertainty, fear and insecurity. The "Future of Work Centenary Initiative" was launched in 2015 to better understand what is going on in the world of work, with a view to drawing conclusions about the ILO's future action. These processes of change have also made it imperative for trade unions to seriously reflect and strategize on the future of work. This course will build the capacities of trade unions in shaping the future of work, preparing them to deal with the emerging knowledge and innovation-based economy, build new sources of power and regain bargaining strength.
