“Financing Skills Development” – a new ITCILO Training Course 16 – 20 October 2017, Turin (Italy)

Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and lifelong learning benefit individuals, employers and society as a whole. Economic principles demand that the costs for services that bring about public and private benefits should be shared between public and private sources of funding.

While government is a key investor in skills development and TVET, enterprise involvement is needed to provide a stable and sustained system for the development of human resources and a productive labour force.

The International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO) is offering a new training course on “Financing Skills Development”. The main objective of this course is to strengthen participants’ capacities to analyse and review the systems and mechanisms for financing skills development and TVET, as well as to find entry points for improving financing mechanisms, both at the system-level, as well as at the level of TVET Centres.
