A fruitful collaboration for education at all levels
The Centre’s donation was the starting point of a successful experiment.
Last year, the Centre donated 63 personal computers that were no longer used by its staff to the ‘Marconi’ teaching circle in Collegno.
With these PCs, and through the dedication of volunteers, four primary schools were able to set up teaching facilities with Open Source Operating Systems.
The four facilities were presented to the community at a press conference: the importance of the donation and the use, for the first time in Piedmont, of Open Source OS by state schools were recognized as two significant highlights for the project, saving around 30,000 euros.
