Skills Development is back!
New at this year's Academy on Skills Development: "Technical Cooperation and Networking Space". Come and join us from 25 November to 6 December 2013!
The Academy on Skills Development is a unique international forum for learning, exchange and inspiration on key issues in the area of skills development and TVET. It brings together a large international audience from all over the world. The 2013 Academy will be held in English, French and Portuguese.
As in previous years, the Academy will offer a rich mix of joint lectures, intensive courses, interactive knowledge sharing, panel discussions, inspiration sessions and a local study visit.
Fifteen intensive thematic courses will be organised in three simultaneous programmes covering key topics related to five core areas:
- Skills development policies
- Management of TVET systems
- Responsiveness to labour market challenges
- Formal training provision
- Skills for social inclusion
A new feature of the Academy is the "Technical Cooperation and Networking Space", in which international agencies and Academy partners such as Lux Development, AFD (Agence Française de Développement), GIZ (German Agency for International Cooperation), ETF (European Training Foundation) and World Skills International will share their experiences and cooperation strategies with participants.
A popular feature of the Academy is the "Inspiration Sessions", in which participants have the opportunity to take the floor as lecturers and present a real experience or a piece of research that they are currently working on.
