Are you ready? The Turin Learning Link is coming back.
The Turin Learning Link is a recurring event: a meeting place for capacity-development policymakers and practitioners. In 2011, it will take place from 11 to 15 April, at the ITC-ILO.
This year, the Turin Learning Link will explore knowledge within the extended community of practice, fortify the culture of cooperation among development training and learning institutes (DTLIs), and emphasize partnerships for enhanced capacity development. It will take a practical approach to the following three topics:
South-South and three-way cooperation - ways and means for effective partnerships that boost collaboration among DTLIs.
Private-sector participation – ways to bring in the private sector actively, and to incorporate private-sector best practice into DTLIs.
The MDGS: towards 2015 - opportunities and strategies for DTLIs to contribute to the global action plan, such as MDG 8: develop a global partnership for development.
Contributions will be called for from organizations that are willing to share their experience and successful practice. The steering committee will screen proposals, before designing the sessions in conjunction with partners.
The target audience consists of practitioners from DTLIs. Participants are seen as equal contributors to the shared knowledge of the Learning Link. Registration is by invitation only, so if you would like to be involved, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org. You can find more information at: http://link.itcilo.org/
