Boulder is back at the Centre
This year the annual Boulder microfinance training programme is taking place at the Centre from 15 July to 2 August.
As well as following the Boulder curricula, attending special seminars organized by the faculty and meeting many recognised experts, this year’s students will benefit from participating in two additional microfinance industry events, which will take place in Turin over the same period.
The MasterCard Foundation and the Boulder Institute of Microfinance will organize a two-day MasterCard Foundation Symposium on financial inclusion, taking place at the Lingotto congress centre. This symposium will include leading experts from microfinance organizations, financial service providers and consulting groups, who will bring to the table innovative research, new findings, case studies, stories from the field, and practical lessons from several years of experience. The symposium will take place in Turin, and Boulder students – practitioners – will join the large group of other professionals in engaging discussions. Together they will work on the theme of "Clients at the Centre" as the foundation, looking at where the greatest opportunities lie for global impact, and discussing various innovations in financial services.
At the same time, microfinance policy makers, regulators, and government representatives will have an opportunity to attend a tailor-made seminar on the roles of government in financial inclusion, organised by the CGAP (The Consultative Group to Assist the Poor) and Boulder Institute on campus.
