Different themes at the ITCILO ILS Academy
The 2018 International Labour Standards Academy is taking place on campus from 14 to 18 May 2018
The ILS Academy is presenting a choice of highly specialized courses to 126 participants coming from all over the world, viz.:
- International labour standards
- International labour standards for judges, lawyers and legal educators
- Pay equity and the key equality Conventions
- Evolving forms of employment relationships and decent work
- Trade Union Training on International Labour Standards
The Academy is offering knowledge and tools on international labour standards that are adopted and supervised by the ILO to a broad range of professionals active in promoting rights at work. The programme is designed to meet the needs of a varied audience, while building bridges and understanding between participants from various professional backgrounds and regions.
In addition, participants from different training courses will have the opportunity of exchanging knowledge, ideas and experiences when attending the Academy’s plenary lectures, featuring internationally renowned and challenging thinkers, with interpretation in different languages.
These short but powerful talks during the plenary sessions address the issues that are collectively shaping the world of work of today as well as in the future, and explore how they all connect and relate to international labour standards.
