First Master’s Programme in French: Gouvernance et management des marchés publics en appui au développement durable
In partnership with the Paris Institute of Political Studies (“Sciences Po”) and the University of Turin (Italy), from November 2013, the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITC-ILO) will start its first master’s programme offered in French on the subject of the governance and management of public contracts to support sustainable development.
With this new master’s programme, French-speaking participants will be able to explore the legal, statutory, economic, managerial and organisational bases of a modern system for the governance and management of public contracts.
This master’s programme – like the seven others currently offered by the Turin School of Development – will incorporate mixed teaching methods and learning techniques which will allow participants to study and absorb the theory and apply knowledge in a practical manner by carrying out work, case studies, study visits and an applied research project. Participation in the programme will also grant access to a network and exposure to the expertise, experience and knowhow of professionals in academia, experts working for international organisations and public and private sector specialists.
The purpose of the programme is to prepare participants to hold executive or managerial roles related to the regulation, signing and supervision of public contracts and contracts with international authorities and organisations.
Through this master’s programme, the Turin Centre will contribute to overcoming the current shortfall in qualified human resources in the field of public contracts and will allow sector professionals to deal with challenges linked to all aspects of the management of public contracts in compliance with economic and legal principles and in a socially responsible manner.
