A new training module on “Enterprise Corporate Social Responsibility” for the first course on “International and European Labour Law”
This two-day component of the course organized by the ITC-ILO, the ILO and the European Lawyers' Union (UAE), is the 11th module in the course. It will take place in Rome, at the School of Public Administration, on 24 and 25 March 2011.
The course was launched last November with funding by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and is for lawyers, enterprise legal advisers and magistrates. It targets Italian companies and jurists operating in the other countries in the European Union. The course consists of a series of modules, each lasting one to two days. It will end on 11 May 2011.
The course objective is to consolidate the new professional role of European experts in labour law by improving the knowledge and skills with which they use international (ILO) and European (EU) labour standards.
On the first day of this module, international experts from ILO Geneva and the ITC-ILO will present the ILO international instruments, the OECD guidelines and those of the UN Global Compact, together with cases of best practice in business.
On the second day, the meeting will focus on:
- social dialogue and transnational agreements;
- a possible system for mutual recognition of decent work labels among States;
- national legislation;
- technical cooperation on CSR.
For this first edition, the course is free of charge. Due to the limited availability of places, those interested in participating are invited to submit a request by 21 March to: email@example.com
