The Board of the International Training Centre of the ILO will meet on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 October for its 81st Session
The Board approves the general lines of the Programme of the Centre and its budget. The report on the meeting is submitted to the Governing Body of the ILO.
Under the Statute of the Centre, the Board plays an important governance and oversight role. The items on the agenda of the 81st Session include the comments on the Implementation Report for 2016–17, on the financial documents and on a paper addressing the “Independent evaluation of training and learning activities in the thematic area of “Promoting Social Dialogue and Tripartism”. Reports from the Internal Auditor and External Auditor will also be considered.
The newly elected Board is composed of 24 members appointed by the Governing Body of the ILO: 12 government representatives, from Germany, Argentina, Barbados, China, Ivory Coast, United States, France, India, Japan, Mauritania, Romania and Senegal; six employers’ representatives; and six workers’ representatives. The Italian Government, the Region of Piedmont, the City of Turin, and the Unione Industriale of Turin are also represented on the Board. The Chairperson of the Board is the Director-General of the ILO, Mr Guy Ryder.
