The Centre launches the Gamification for Development MOOC
Participate for free in the Massive Open Online Course on the use of game elements for development from 11 April to 27 May 2016.
Why a MOOC?
The Gamification for Development MOOC intends to provide learning and development professionals with a knowledge sharing platform, which provides the compilation of resources on the use of game elements in non-game contexts, and guided discussions and participatory activities focused on the potential of gamification for development.
The Centre will work with experts from GIZ, CINTERFOR, and UNITAR among others. Participant involvement is crucial to the MOOC, along with the opportunity to share resources, expertise and experience.
The MOOC will be held in English, and is open to a broad target group: learning and development professionals, technical specialists involved in training and facilitation, organizational learning and change professionals, E-learning specialists and instructional designers.
Participants will receive a certificate upon the successful completion of selected learning activities only if they have actively and collaboratively participated in the MOOC.
The total duration of the MOOC is 7 weeks (11 April – 27 May 2016), with an estimated average of 3 hours per week for course material review and collaborative online work.
