The way to development starts in Turin

On Friday 20 November, the International Training Centre of the ILO will launch the Turin School of Development at the official opening of the 2009/2010 Academic Year.

The Director of the Centre, Mr François Eyraud, describes the Turin School of Development as comprising “a series of highly specialized courses, including Master’s courses, each run by the Centre in conjunction with different institutions or UN organizations, such as the World Bank, UNESCO, the UNDP, WIPO and UNCITRAL, and prestigious universities all over the world, in particular the University of Turin and Turin Polytechnic”.

Thanks to the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of other donors (Regione Piemonte, Comune di Torino, Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione CRT and the Camera di Commercio di Torino), the Centre now runs well-known Master’s and other high-level post-graduate courses on a range of subjects:

The event will take place on campus, in the presence of the Rectors of all Turin’s universities, together with local authorities and representatives of international organizations.
