The Turin Centre welcomes the newly elected Chairperson of the Governing Body of the International Labour Office
Mr Greg Vines, Chair of the Governing Body of the ILO will be visiting the Centre on 18 July 2011.
Mr Greg Vines, involved in labour relations for over 30 years, is now Special Labour Advisor for the Australian Government. He has held a number of senior executive roles with the Australian Federal and State Governments, including independent Public Service Commissioner appointments with oversight of public administration management, employment policies and practices and dispute resolution.
His career has focussed on strategic leadership, public sector management and reform.
Mr Vines is currently a senior diplomat (Minister) with the Australian Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva and has recently been elected Chairperson of the Governing Body of the ILO, being also head of the Australian delegation to the ILO Governing Body and International Labour Conference.
It is planned that the Mr Vines will visit the campus and meet the Director of the Centre. Additional meetings are planned with colleagues.
