The International Summer School returns to the Centre again this year
In July 2016 the Centre, in collaboration with Zhejiang University (Hangzhou, China), launched a new initiative at the Summer School for university students. Building on the successful implementation of the first Summer School, the second edition of the programme was organized on campus from July 31 to August 18, 2017.
The programme is intended to equip young people with the fundamentals of economics and business in a multicultural context, and provide them with information on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by world leaders in September 2015. The Summer School is also an entry point for young people interested in a career with the United Nations and other international organizations in the future.
This training activity offers young people an exciting opportunity to get exposure to a cross-cultural environment, and in particular to exchange information with United Nations staff and research real-life case studies and success stories. At the same time, they unleash their inner force for innovation to engage in the future in contributing to achievement of the SDGs.
