The Centre with the ILO on fair recruitment
Two additional videos on raising awareness of fair recruitment practices are now available
These videos are part of a series, based on the ILO General Principles and Operational Guidelines for Fair Recruitment (adopted in 2016), which provides information on the current and future work of the ILO and other organizations, national legislatures and social partners in promoting and ensuring fair recruitment. The principles and guidelines are derived from several sources, including international labour standards and ILO instruments.
The focus of these videos, which were developed in collaboration with the ILO RE-FRAME project (Global Action to Improve the Recruitment Framework of Labour Migration), is on the role of governments and enterprises in fostering fair recruitment practices.
Last year, the Centre ran a global training course on fair recruitment in conjunction with the RE-FRAME project involving 45 participants from all continents, including RE-FRAME project target countries. The course will be held again in 2018, from 1 to 5 October, and will be delivered in English and Arabic.
