The ITCILO further strengthens its collaboration with the V.V. GIRI National Institute of India
The Centre has just renewed its Memorandum of Understanding with the V.V. GIRI National Institute of India for a further five years. The previous MoU was signed in 2012. The Institute is an autonomous body of the Ministry of Labour and Employment of the Government of India, set up in July 1974 as a leading centre of Labour Research, Training and Education.
The MoU includes, inter alia, provision for training and education activities to promote decent work over the next five years, by:
(1) organizing joint training and education programmes;
(2) developing training modules;
(3) exchanging faculty;
(4) providing opportunities for future joint efforts between the VVGNLI and the ITCILO.
Additional areas of cooperation may be identified during the implementation period by mutual agreement.
