The Centre training methodology takes a practical, hands-on approach, based on real workplace experience and real workplace needs. Theory combines with practice in a learner-centred approach, using the most appropriate and practical techniques in each case.

The Decent Work country policy analysis workshop took place in Turin from 24 to 26 October, 2012 and involved ILO Officials from both the field and Headquarters
United Nations Junior Programme Officers workshop
The United Nations Junior Programme Officers workshop was held in Turin from 10 to 21 September, 2012. Forty future UN Officials, sponsored by five donor countries (France, Italy, The Netherlands, Luxemburg and Switzerland), to be placed in UN Programmes, Funds and Agencies, participated in the event
Train4Dev network
The 10th annual meeting of the Train4Dev took place at the Turin Centre from 5 to 7 June 2012. The Joint Donors' Competence Development Network, Train4Dev, is an open forum for donor agencies and multilateral organizations, currently consisting of more than 25 member organizations. The objective of Train4Dev is to promote improved aid effectiveness for poverty reduction through enhanced donor co-operation in competence development and training. Held for the first time at an international training campus, the event offered participants the opportunity to interact with development partners from around the world, represented by policy makers, managers, practitioners and trainers who form part of the Centre’s global community.
