I found out about the Master in Governance and Public Procurement Management for Sustainable Development (GOMAP - Gouvernance et Management des Marchés Publics en appui au développement Durable) from a friend who works for the World Bank Group when I looking for accredited academic training to boost my professional career. As soon as I visited the website for the Master's course, the scale of the programme and the institutions organising it (ITC-ILO, Univerity of Turin and Sciences Po Paris) convinced me.
During my training, I was hugely impressed by the high quality of our teachers from both the academic and professional domains, who are internationally recognized leaders in their respective fields. The selective criteria for the programme brought excellent students together, making learning an intellectually stimulating process. Everything took place at the beautiful United Nations campus in Turin where participants from all over the world (around 150 countries) come together, making it an excellent venue for networking and intercultural development.
In addition, one of the greatest benefits of this training programme was writing a paper about it that led us to question information about all aspects of public procurement (legal, economic, management and sustainable development).
This Master allowed me to join a major international NGO as a Procurement Specialist. I acquired skills that allow me to perform the tasks and duties assigned to me with professionalism and efficiency, to the great satisfaction of the NGO I work for.
I would recommend this programme to professionals looking to boost their skills and students whose studies are coming to an end who wish to work in public procurement.
I will end my comments by saying "thank you" to everyone who made this Master possible.
