Employers Young Professionals’ Academy: third and final chapter!
The last workshop of the Employers Young Professionals’ Academy took place in Turin from the 3rd to the 5th of September 2014 … 30 young professionals from 25 different European Employers’ Organizations came together to reflect on their role as social partners.
The Employers Young Professionals' Academy is a training programme organized by the ITCILO Employers’ Programme in partnership with BUSINESSEUROPE and benefiting from EU Funding. It is the third time that this comprehensive training series is organised (more info here).
After the workshops “Being the voice of business” and “Advocating for growth” organized in May and July 2014, participants enjoyed this third workshop entitled “Engaging as social partners” as a further opportunity to share experiences and insights in a dynamic, creative and relaxed atmosphere.
Through presentations, discussions, simulations of negotiations and group exercises participants had an opportunity to grasp the challenges faced by employers’ organizations regarding their role as social partners. Light was also shed on the different industrial relations systems existing in Europe and the transformation processes they currently go through. In addition, an effort was made to understand better the companies’ perspectives and needs with regards to employee relations in large and multinational groups.
All in all, the Employers Young Professionals’ Academy proved to be a unique chance for high potentials of European employer organizations to build organizational and personal capacity ... and a solid cross-border network!!
