New Milestone in EOSH Development
The Training of Trainers in Turin marked a new milestone in the development of the Essentials of Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) package. For the first time since its invention this innovative training package was used in Arabic, French and Russian.
From 12 to 14 August 2015 29 participants from 14 countries visited Turin to take part in the EOSH Training of Trainers (ToT). The Programme for Employers’ Activities of ITC ILO organised this workshop with support from Mr Hasan, Mr Litvyakov and Mr Mbaye and Mr Barlas who conducted and supported the sessions in their respective language.
Before attending this intensive three-day face-to-face ToT workshop all participants had to attend a 30-hour distance learning training and passed a preliminary examination.
The core of this ToT workshop in Turin was an OSH training session which has been created and presented by the very motivated and interested participants in small groups to each other. The feedback they received afterwards helped them to enhance their skills in effectively delivering training courses. At the end of the workshop, the participants successfully attended the final examination to obtain the ITC ILO certificate of achievement and officially became EOSH trainers.
Facilitated by social media the EOSH trainers can stay in touch and share their experience and best practices among each other.
The EOSH training package has been invented by the Programme for Employers’ Activities to support EOs in delivering training services on OSH and provides a flexible and multi-tool approach. For more information please visit the EOSH-website.
