Supporting Rights for the Inclusion of LGBTIQ+ People in the World of Work – MOOC

Self-guided
The course is available in English, Español
Introduction to the course

The persistent exclusion and discrimination of LGBTIQ+ people in the workplace undermines the principles of dignity, equality, and decent work. Despite progress in legal protections, many continue to face systemic barriers due to sexual orientation, gender identity, expression, or sex characteristics — often compounded by intersecting forms of discrimination such as disability, ethnicity, or health status.

In response and following the 2022 publication of the tool of the International Labour Organization (ILO) “Inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) persons in the world of work: A learning guide”, the ILO, through the Gender, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Branch (GEDI) and the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO), has progressively developed a series of training interventions.

This MOOC aims to foster more inclusive and discrimination-free workplaces through enhanced awareness, knowledge, and practices supporting the inclusion of LGBTIQ+ persons in the world of work.
