This summer, the Centre is pleased to welcome over 230 college students and tutors from China to join the Global Youth Leadership Academy (GYLA) Summer Programme on Building on Youth Talent: Developing the Next Generation of Global Leadership for the UN 2030 Agenda.
The GYLA-Summer Programme will be held in Turin, from 5 to 23 August 2019, in conjunction with 17 top Chinese universities: Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Nankai University, Fuzhou University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, China Agriculture University, China University of Labour Relations, Harbin Institute of Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Jilin University, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, Shandong University, Southeast University, Tianjin University and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
GYLA is one of the ITCILO’s flagship programmes, a three-year pilot programme of both summer and winter activities. The aim of GYLA is to engage young people in learning about the UN sustainable development goals (SDGs) and to empower them, as future leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs, to play a crucial role in meeting the targets of the 2030 agenda and building a better world.
