Each year we run a series of courses on the key components of effective social security administration in collaboration with the International Social Security Association (ISSA). All seven courses are eligible for the Diploma for Social Protection Managers.
The ITCILO offers a series of residential courses focused on key technical areas covered by the ISSA/ILO Guidelines. The ISSA/ILO Guidelines provide a framework for the courses and a solid ground to develop staff competencies on international professional standards in social security administration.
These courses are designed for managers, administrators, experts and staff working in ISSA member institutions who have a professional interest in one or more of the specific sets of Guidelines and who would like to develop their knowledge and competencies. All seven courses qualify for the Diploma for Social Protection Managers.
Each course involves up to 25 participants from ISSA member institutions.
Each course aims to provide participants with an overall understanding of the core areas and international professional standards of one set of ISSA/ILO Guidelines and to enable the application of these standards by ISSA member organizations.
Each training course is focused on one set of ISSA Guidelines. It is structured in three phases, to total around 60 hours of course work.
Each residential training course on a set of ISSA Guidelines costs 2345 EUR (1710 EUR for tuition + 635 EUR for subsistence), excluding international air travel and airport transfers. This is payable in advance by the participant’s sponsoring organization.
This covers: tuition fees; the use of training facilities and support services; training materials and books; accommodation and full board at the Centre’s campus; emergency medical care and insurance.
